Location North: Salary: $80-$95

created as a result of the Sarbanes Oxley Act that has come into force for all
They are
responsible for establishing and maintaining disclosure controls and
procedures; ·
They have designed
‘Disclosure Controls and Procedures’ to ensure specified information is
made known to them, and ·
They have evaluated and
reported on the effectiveness of those controls and procedures as of a date
within 90 days of the report filing. Your key
responsibilities will include: Administering
the SOX database, including creating template control assessments and
effectiveness tests, and establishing user access; ·
Forming opinions as to whether
the operations are meeting the control objectives listed in the SOX database
or not; ·
Assisting in updating
documentation regarding the current control environments of TSP entities,
identifying control weaknesses and assisting in recommending remediation plans
for the control weaknesses; ·
Assisting in the remediation of
control weaknesses; ·
Performing formal effectiveness
reviews of the controls documented; ·
Reviewing entity compliance
with company policies and procedures ·
Other ad hoc projects and tasks
relevant to compliance. The ideal
candidate should possess the following: Possess a
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or related discipline. ·
CPA, CIA, CMA or CA is a strong
plus ·
Sound knowledge of internal
financial and operational controls is required. ·
Must possess a solid
understanding of US GAAP. ·
Experience/proficiency in
Sarbanes Oxley is a strong plus. ·
At least 3-5 years related
audit experience. ·
3+ years of Audit experience
including some manufacturing within a public accounting or internal audit
environment is required. ·
Possess excellent communication
and interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate with all levels of
management. ·
Ability to work both
independently and in team situations; ·
Possess strong Microsoft Office
skills; including Word and Excel; ·
Must be able to travel 25% to a
maximum of 30% of the time. ·
Foreign language skills in
French or Spanish are a plus. Client offers a
