Employees
in this role are responsible for providing technical sales enablement and
support to the channel for the midrange storage portfolio.
Midrange
Storage Channel Technical Sales Specialists will need to have a deep
understanding of the storage market, the clients midrange storage portfolio
and competitive offerings, and of the business partner community.
The
primary mission is to drive technical enablement for the technology
(DS3000/5000, N Series, SVC) and the plays.
They
will work closely with the vendors (LSI, and NetApp) to drive storage
technology adoption by clients partners.
This
involves developing tight working relationships with the distributors and
resellers, building technical skills in the channel, and helping to execute
across the IMTs.
Employees
in this role will also be outbound in nature, teaming with specific targeted
business partners and leveraging resources to aid with architecting
solutions and resolving technical issues.
In
addition, this team will have an instrumental role in the technical
enablement of new products and ensuring a fast start in the channel.

Required
High
School Diploma/GED
At
least 5 years experience in technical sales support roles with a proven
track record of success
At
least 3 years experience in Storage market: trends, competitors, and IBM
Storage offerings in the midrange disk space
At
least 3 years experience in sales support for SVC and/or
Readiness
to travel up to 25%; travelling 2 days a week, home on weekends
English:
Fluent

Bachelor's
Degree
Certified
in Information Technology Specialist Certification in Systems Products / Storage
Systems
The
successful candidate must be viewed as a subject matter expert upon entering
this position. No ramp up time is allowed.
